Rather than just cry OMG I H8 DA...

Reasons why I have never liked DA:

1. Used to take forever to load on dial-up because of the layout.

2. A pain in the ass to navigate.

3. People steal stuff.

4. Much of the artwork on this site is only artwork if you define "art" as "something pretty to look at".

5. When I clicked on an outside link, if my cookies were active I would get this giant "PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!!!" message rather than the artwork I wanted to view.

6. I get DA spam in my inbox so when I log in again I have 874762 new messages and only 20 relevant ones.

7. I just had to spend a good portion of time deleting individual pictures because I'M NOT ALLOWED TO DELETE MY ACCOUNT?!

8. Did I mention it's a pain in the ass to navigate?


Even if there are things beyond the staff's control that bug me, the point is they still bug me.

I only signed up because my best friends at the time told me to. I used it because one of them bought me a paid account. I continued to use it for awhile because I had it and it was a convenient way to be an attention whore about my art. Then I stopped caring. Then I tried using it to keep track of my favorite artists. Then I got fed up. So, whatever.
